The aims of the Group were:
- To lead, guide and inform the development of the UK Coaching Framework R&D strand
- To provide expert advice on the vision for coaching research over the next 3/7/11 years, the research questions and projects, and the roles, responsibilities, structures and funding
- To provide other strategic and technical advice as necessary to assist the development of a world leading coaching research infrastructure and programme across the UK
