sports coach UK has commissioned Leeds Metropolitan University to review learning material/resource formats and designs so as to accelerate coaches’ learning.

Aims & Objectives

• Review current literature to determine the most effective resource and learning material formats
• Identify coaches' preferences for receiving resources and learning material formats
• Understand the experiences of tutors regarding appropriate resources and learning material formats to underpin coach education
• Provide recommendations for the design and development of future resources and learning materials

Methods

• Literature / document review
• Review of learning formats and content used in current materials
• Interviews / surveys / focus groups with coaches and tutors

Practical Implications

• Improved quality of resources and learning materials designed, developed, and delivered to coaches
