We are always keen to hear about your research work and ideas. If you are developing new research work, or publishing, please register with our Coaching Research Review. If you have any suggestions about research gaps or priorities please contact jnorth@sportscoachuk.org
Masters Level and PhD Students
sports coach UK is currently prioritising the following areas of investigation...
- Understanding and defining coaching quality and expertise in specific coaching contexts
- Understanding long term coach development
The prioritisation exercise is continually under review and further details will be available after the publication of the UK Coaching Framework.
Though unavailable currently, sports coach UK will be looking to support Research Masters and PhD level students who undertake work in our priority areas. Watch this space.
Undergraduate Students
sports coach UK encourages undergraduate students to study coaches and coaching. Unfortunately, however, due to limited resources we are not in a position to provide any direct support.
Many undergraduate students contact sports coach UK for information to help with their studies. Most enquiries concern accessing research on particular subject areas. Students are able to access a free search facility, however, we cannot provide documents directly to you.
Other common subjects include the structure of sport and sports funding, the structure of sports coach UK and sport specific enquiries. Most of this information is available on other parts of the website, in sports coach UK's Annual Report, or from each sport's Governing Body.
Good luck with your studies.
