The UK Action Plan for Coaching becomes the UK Coaching Framework
At the recent Funding and Policy Partners Group held on Friday 26 January 2007, it was agreed that The UK Action Plan for Coaching would be retitled to:
The UK Coaching Framework: A 3-7-11 Action Plan
It was deemed the change in name would better reflect the function of the document and the principles within. It also recognised it is a Framework in which the Home Country Sports Councils and governing bodies' of sport have the latitude to interpret the Framework to their own individual organisations.
Trailblazing Sports and The UK Coaching Framework
Certain sports have already begun working with sports coach UK to help develop and implement the Framework within their coaching structures.
Six trailblazing sports will be chosen to pilot the roll-out and implementation of the Framework. Further details regarding this will be communicated shortly.
