Governing Body of Sport Meetings 25 and 26 February 2008
With reference to the commitment of sports coach UK to supporting governing bodies' of sport, meetings have been put in place to communicate to them developments within The UK Coaching Framework and associated information.
The purpose of the meetings, which will be held in Leeds, is to communicate to those sports who have formally signed up to The UK Coaching Framework recent developments and information updates. Areas that will be covered will include: - clarification of the sports classification communication
- discussion over services to sports within the Building the Foundation phase of The UK Coaching Framework
- an introduction to the Coaching System Implementation Directorate, explaining its function and how it will affect sports
- developments and updates within the wider coaching landscape
- an update on The UK Coaching Framework
- information pertaining to the 3rd UK Coaching Summit which will be held on 22 and 23 April 2008
- information on the proposed Coaching Advisory Group (CAG)
- the possibility for British Swimming, as an accelerated trailblazer sport, to share their learning on the experience so far
- any other related business
