Congratulations go to Ian McGeechan

sports coach UK would like to congratulate Ian McGeechan on being selected as the head coach of the 2009 British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa.

Ian, Chairman of sports coach UK, coached the Lions to series victories over Australia in 1989 and then-world champions South Africa in 1997, and came desperately close to beating New Zealand in 1993. Ian has been a key guiding force in the development and launch of the UK Coaching Framework, which is the industry blueprint for the creation of a world-leading coaching system in the UK by 2016. Good luck Ian for the 2009 tour!
