Sports Coaching Delivery Plans

As part of our support to Governing Bodies of Sport (GBs), sports coach UK has updated our guidance notes to help sports develop their Coaching Delivery Plans.

In addition, sports coach UK ran five planning workshops for Trailblazer and Delivery sports in the summer and autumn of 2008.

To help sports in drafting the coaching elements of their Whole Sport Plans, we created a concise set of Guidance Notes as a PDF. Even though the Whole-Sport Planning Process is complete these may still be of interest Download the guidance notes here

The third edition of a much more comprehensive User Guide, designed to help sports in creating long-term Coaching Plans, is also available as a PDF. For sports which have already signed up to the UK Coaching Framework, this will supplement the individual support received from your Coaching System Manager.

GB Coaching Forums

As part of our work to develop the provision of holistic coach and coaching development sports coach UK organise a series of National Coaching Forums for representative from all GBs, Home Country Sports Council and other national agencies. These events are designed to provide opportunities for those officers attending to focus on the various components of the World Class Coaching System (WCCS) through:

discussions
sharing of best practice
informing/shaping policy
gaining knowledge

Within the WCCS section of this website you can find audit and assessment tools, forum reports, presentations and support documentation for the understanding and implementation of the WCCS.
