Coach Assessor training is available from sports coach UK. It comprises a two-day programme made up of two modules:
- assessment principles into practice
- assessment practice
Coach Assessor training leads to the achievement of the Introduction to Assessment Practice in Sport which is a level 3 qualification certificated by 1st4sport Qualifications (1st4sport Qualifications is part of Coachwise 1st4sport who are the trading arm of sports coach UK).
Assessor training is designed for those people who will be assessing coaches going through the new UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) coaching awards. Potential assessors can be further supported on this training with a DVD which sports coach UK are able to assist in producing for UKCC sports in the context of their individual sport. This can help assessors to contextualise the assessment process and allow them to concentrate on learning the relevant skills.
If you wish to undertake the training and subsequently the qualification you need in the first instance to contact your national governing body of sport as we can only accept group bookings. The above training is available to UKCC sports with an agreed, approved and signed off delivery plan. Further details of the training are within the Workforce Development Guidance document below.
If you wish to book training or have any other queries, please contact Katie Mulhall at sports coach UK on 0113 274 4802 or kmulhall@sportscoachuk.org
