Job Summary
Y&H investment in Coaching
A similar process to the UK Coaching Framework has taken place in Yorkshire with the development of a Yorkshire Coaching Sub Group (YCSG) a representative group of Coaches and coach ed. tutors who are also professionals from Governing Bodies and Key local Partners.
The purpose of the YCSG is to prioritise issues requiring action to develop a skilled coach workforce to meet the needs of the Yorkshire Plan for Sport increasing participation, levels of performance and widening access.
YCSG Mission Statement:
To guide the strategic direction of coaching within the Yorkshire region towards professionalisation providing the right coach in the right place at the right time.
A list of 21 issues presented to the Regional Sports Board in December 2005 was discussed and 4 priority areas agreed in which improvements must take place to supply a fit for purpose coaching workforce.
