Corus Kids of Steel Triathlon
This event - held at Epworth Swimming Pool, North Lincolnshire on June 21, 2007 - was an exciting new triathlon event for children in years 5,6,7 and 8 (ages 8-13).

North Yorkshire Youth Games 2007
Held at Ampleforth College, Ryedale on June 3, 2007, the Youth Games is an annual event hosted by the County Sports Partnerships across the UK. Launched as the Millennium Games in 2000, the Youth Games allows children from across the County to come together and compete in a range of Sporting Activities in a fun filled and exciting day. SportsAid Yorkshire & Humberside 65th Luncheon
Headingley Carnegie Stadium hosted this fundraising event on June 3, 2007. All money raised from the dinner was matched pound for pound by Betfair and will go directly to SportsAid Yorkshire & Humberside, supporting the charity’s work across the region. Coach Works 1
Basketball coach Fabulous Flourney was the keynote speaker at this event which combined topical presentations, accredited workshops and workshop updates for coaches
across the sporting sector. Seminars included nutrition, strength-and-conditioning and multi-skills inclusion.
The evening - held at Biddick SSC, Washington on July 19, 2007 from 5.00-9.00 - also included an update from sports coach UK on the UK Coaching Certificate and the UK Coaching Framework. For further information please click here.

DSE/Disport Regional Swimming Gala
This event - which took place at Dearne Valley Leisure Centre on June 9, 2007 - was open to all swimmers aged 11 years and over who have a learning or physical disability, visual or hearing impairment. For further information please click here.

Mission Active Future
This travelling exhibition was in Kirklees over June and July, beginning at Leeds Rowing Playing Fields, Kirklees on June 11, 2007 from 9.00am – 5.00pm. The exhibition is housed in a customised truck and provides a fully interactive hands-on experience with a compelling series of puzzles, quizzes, and physical challenges. Power Agility and Coordination (PAC) training event - 14 June, 06 7-9pm The Headland Leisure Centre, Hartlepool
Tees Valley Sport, Hartlepool Borough Council & sports coach UK hosted this event.
PAC Training has been developed by Olympic medallist Steve Backley OBE, and is an on-line coaching tool consisting of a video exercise database with over 500 exercises, coaching programmes, a coaching forum, and technical articles by Olympic Champions Michael Johnson and Denise Lewis, amongst others. The evening was hosted by Steve Backley and Teesside's Olympic Hurdler Anthony Borsumato.
