Coach Manager - Be the Best - March 2008
Coach managers from Somerset and WESPORT have taken part in a programme to further develop their management skills, and to maximise the potential of the coaches they manage. Active Gloucestershire Delivers Active Start - February 08
Active Gloucestershire, together with local partners, is delivering an exciting countywide Active Start project.
Driven by the County Sports Partnership's Active Start Community Sports Coaches the project provides coaching based around the FUNdamentals of movement, predominantly to pre-school aged children. Partnership Makes a Real Impact - February 08
This case study details the partnership between Active Gloucestershire, The Youth Sport Trust and Playzone to assess the capacity for Active Start and Children’s Centres to deliver developmentally appropriate physical activity within the framework of Every Child Matters and the Foundation Stage - and to identify a centre to pilot Playzone. South West Makes Positive Strides - December 07
sports coach UK and Sport England held a two-day meeting in Taunton to further develop the long-term policy goals of delivering the UK Coaching Framework in the South West.

Sports Foundation Club Development Project - July 07
Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP) has been successful in a funding bid to the National Sports Foundation (NSF) for £200,000 (£100,000 p.a. for 2 years) for a project to develop coaching, club structures and talent development in Somerset across six sports. To read more click here.

Cornwall recently welcomed the appointment of Yvonne Turner as Triathlon Action Group Coaching Coordinator (TAGCC).
