The event was designed to provide coaches, who had previously accessed Multi-Skills training, with a greater knowledge and array of skills with which to deliver fun and innovative sessions. As part of the Berkshire LTA and sports coach UK Raising the Bar programme, coaches attended a networking event on Tuesday, 24 April 2007. The day started off with a Coach Cluster Meeting where coaches, all from LTA Accredited Mini-Tennis Clubs, received an update from the LTA Club Development Officer and discussed successes and challenges of mini-tennis in the past six months. After the meeting coaches took part in a team-building event at the Go Ape Centre in Swinley Forest, Bracknell. The Sports Leaders into Coaching programme provides a pathway into coaching for young volunteers (aged 16 to 21 years).
