Coaches Pilot Scheme LaunchThe North West Coaching Agency (Coaching North West) launched an 18-month pilot scheme in Merseyside and Greater Sport (Manchester) on July 1 2007 that will provide coaches with the opportunity to sustain a regular income from coaching.

Women Into Higher Level Sports Coaching Project
A North West Partnership lead by GreaterSport and including Community Sport Partnerships (CSPs), Governing Bodies of Sport (GBs), sports coach UK, WSF, Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) and SkillsActive, submitted a bid that has been successful in accessing £350,000 of funding for a project designed to engage and support 150 women (who have a Level 1 coaching qualification in one of the nine sports listed below) in their progression within sports coaching.
