Funding for Coaching Qualifications in London
It has been confirmed that £125,000 of funding has been secured from the Learning and Skills Council’s (LSC) Olympic Pot for 2007/2008 to support the up-skilling of the coaching workforce in London by delivering a minimum of 400 qualifications between now and the end of March 2008 (bursaries issued).

Disabled Coaches Initiative Announced
150 disabled Londoners are set to become qualified sports coaches following the launch of Coach-ability, a new initiative from the London Sports Forum for Disabled People.The project will dramatically increase the number of disabled sports coaches in London, encouraging more disabled people to take up sport and physical activity ahead of 2012.

| London Community Sports Coach Scheme Training and Development Day 80 coaches attended the London Community Sports Coach Scheme Training and Development Day, which took place at the David Beckham Academy on Friday, 26 January 2007. The event gave coaches the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through workshops and practical sessions, as well as providing a forum for sharing best practice and networking. Women Into Coaching 2 - London
sports coach UK has played an advisory role in this major coaching project that will give 210 women across the capital the opportunity to gain coaching qualifications up to NVQ level 3 in eight sports.
